The location is perfect, just off the main thoroughfare of the town so within striking distance of a host of restaurants, bars and interesting shops and only a 15 minute walk into neighbouring Bowness for more eating, drinking and shopping and, of course, Lake Windermere. Windermere and her surrounding area is great walking territory for either the novice or well experienced trekker and a selection of lovely ambles can be enjoyed right from the door at The Bowering, to the top of Orrest Head from where to take in the most breathtaking view of Windermere or why not sample one of 4 Miles Without Stiles Walks suitable for all ages and abilities.
